Our Commitment
Statement of Commitment
Cake Mortgage Corp. is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We are continually improving the user experience for everyone and applying the relevant accessibility standards to caketpo.com.
Conformance Status
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA — the standard recognized in the United States under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible for people with disabilities, including blindness and low vision, deafness and hearing loss, learning disabilities, cognitive limitations, limited movement, speech disabilities, and combinations of these.

Accessibility Features on This Site
Accessibility Widget
A floating button (bottom-left of every page) opens an accessibility menu with toggles for larger text, high contrast, reduced motion, underlined links, and a stronger keyboard focus ring. Your preferences are saved across pages.
Keyboard Navigation
Every interactive element — links, buttons, form fields, menus — is reachable and operable using only a keyboard.
Skip-to-Main-Content Link
Press Tab on any page and the first focused control is a Skip to main content link, letting screen-reader and keyboard users bypass the navigation.
Semantic Structure
Pages use proper HTML landmarks (header, nav, main, footer), heading hierarchies, and ARIA roles so assistive technologies can describe page structure clearly.
Form Labels & Error Feedback
Every form input has a programmatically associated label. Validation errors are linked to their fields via standard ARIA attributes (aria-invalid, aria-describedby).
Reduced-Motion Support
If you set Reduce motion in your operating system, animations and transitions across the site are automatically disabled.
Color Contrast
Body text and important interface elements meet WCAG AA contrast ratios (4.5:1 for normal text, 3:1 for large text and UI components).
Modal Dialogs
Dialogs (cookie consent, mobile menu) trap focus while open, support the Escape key to close, and return focus to their trigger button.
⚠️
Known Limitations
PDF Documents
Some PDFs available for download (forms, guidelines, marketing materials) may not yet be fully tagged for screen readers. If you need an accessible alternative format, please contact us using the details below — we will provide one promptly.
Third-Party Content
Pages that link to or embed third-party services (such as the broker login portal at cake.encompasstpoconnect.com) may not meet the same accessibility standards as caketpo.com itself. We work with our vendors to advocate for accessibility but do not directly control their interfaces.
Drawn Signatures
The drawn-signature canvas in the broker application is not operable by keyboard alone. As an equivalent, the Type signature mode is fully accessible and produces a legally binding electronic signature.
🖥️
Browser & Assistive Technology Compatibility
Supported Combinations
caketpo.com is designed to be compatible with current versions of Chrome, Edge, Firefox, and Safari, combined with screen readers including NVDA, JAWS, VoiceOver (macOS / iOS), and TalkBack (Android). If you encounter issues with a specific browser or assistive technology combination, please let us know.
